Yes, I suppose so. I don't think we would care to live in a world without flowers. Flowers make our world more valid and in my country, people often use flowers to describe their emotion.

My favorite flower is lilac coz they have great fragrance. And they were the first flowers I ever received.

In my country, people like to decorate their houses with flower arrangements, they create soothing atmosphere for you and your family members. 4. Whatare the meanings of flowers in your country?

A symbol of love, so boys usually send roses to girls when proposing marriage. And, lilies symbolize one hundred years of love and devotion, so they are used for decoration at the weddings.

Definitely yes. People usually send flowers during festivals, birthdays or anniversaries. Coz it is a way to show politeness and courtesy. Gifts

1. Do you often give gifts to people?

Well, I guess that gift giving is a pretty disturbing thing. Well, for one thing, it’s hard for me to find valuable gifts for my friends or family. I’ve no idea on their preference and taste and I’m so afraid of that they don’t feel happy when they receive my present.

2. Do you and your friends or family members give eachother gifts?

Well, yes, I often buy something unique form other countries to my friends and family members. It’s about my care and love. However, some people give expensive gifts in hopes of receiving an expensive one, which becomes a competition. It ruins the original purpose of sending gifts.

3. Do you think it’s easy to choose what to give otherpeople?

No, it’s really a challenging task for me to select an excellent and

much-appreciated gift, because people have different personality and people are fickle, just like my friends, you know, they change their taste easily and it’s really hard to find what they really want.

4. Do you think it’s important to give expensive gifts?

No, it’s totally unnecessary. Gifts don’t mean material object all the time and can be something special, including forgiveness and kindness. 5. In China, is it necessary to bring a gift when youvisit someone?

Well, I think it’s expected. It’s common etiquette to bring some gifts if someone invites you over for dinner, you know like, a box of chocolate, a bottle of wine or stuff like that. Well, on top of that, gifts are often wrapped in wrapping paper, especially red wrapping.

PART 2:Describe a situation when you get angry

A recent situation that made me angry was getting stuck in(陷入) a traffic jam on the way to meet some friends. It was last Sunday lunchtime, and I didn’t expect there to be much traffic; people don’t work on Sundays, so the roads aren’t usually very busy.

Everything was going well until suddenly I saw a queue of cars on the road in front of me. I had no choice but to join the queue and wait to get past whatever was causing the delay. It turned out that it was caused by some roadworks, and it took me an extra 30 minutes to get past them.

Getting stuck in traffic congestion(拥塞) doesn’t usually make me angry, but this time it did, mainly because I wasn’t expecting it and I knew that my friends were waiting to meet me for lunch. I felt frustrated(挫折) and powerless because there was nothing I could do to change the situation, and I had no idea how long I would be sitting there waiting. When I finally saw the reason for the congestion, I was relieved(庆幸) that I was close to getting past the roadworks, but I still felt a bit stressed knowing that I was half an hour late.

Describe your favorite season or time ofthe year

Well， the four seasons are distinct in most regions of China. And among them， autumn is my favorite season. There are many reasons I like it. Firstly， it is temperate season， that's to say， it is neither too hot nor too cold in autumn. Since Wuhan City is famous for its sweltering weather in summer， this makes autumn precious and pleasant. Secondly， it is a good time to do some outdoor activities or sightseeing. Many people in Wuhan make full use of this golden season to go

camping and hiking. Beside， autumn is also a colorful season with harvest， so I can enjoy so many tasty pineapples and grasps. To tell you the truth， at this time every year， I will go to the orchard to pick apples， pears and oranges. Most people always keep in good mood in this season. Actually， it is the most popular season in our city.
