摘要：A method of performing compressed mode measurements for selectingcommunication means in a communication system. Statistics are collected on handoversfrom a cell in a communications system to a plurality of other cells in the communications

system. A cell load of each cell of the plurality of other cells is weighted by a percentageof handovers from the cell to the respective one of the plurality of other cells. Athreshold is determined based on the weighted cell loads. The threshold can be used totrigger a load based handover from the cell to one of the plurality of other cells.
