It was a cold winter day. All of Kate’s family were at home. Dad and grandpa were in the living room, watching a football game on TV. Kate’s mother and grandmother were cooking dinner in the kitchen. Kate was in her room. She played a computer game, then her mother asked her to help them make dumplings. She didn’t want to leave her room but she was bored with the computer game. Her mother told her how to do it, and Kate was interested in making dumplings. After an hour, dinner was ready. Kate was excited about her work. When Kate’s grandfather and father ate the dumplings Kate made, they were very happy.
