摘要：A mobile telephone includes a reminder controller. A reminder can be enteredeither using the phone or using a remote terminal. Each reminder is associated with anevent being the start of a particular application, or an event being an identifier in asoftware application becoming a preset value. The phone (I) operates to detect an
application start event, following which it is determined whether a parameter associatedwith the reminder matches a parameter associated with the application and announcesthe reminder as appropriate. In this way, enhanced functionality is provided with thephone, since it is possible to set a reminder to be associated with an event other than thereaching of a particular time and date.
