Human Resource Management
As an English major student, I think it may be difficult for us to find a job relating to our own major. As far as I know, some of students who graduated from English major are dedicated to the Human Resource Management. Actually, Human Resource Management is a part of the vital significance in the international business. Maybe in the future, it is a good choice for us to be engaged in Human Resource Management. If we want to be a HR Manager after we graduate, I believe that we should have a thorough understanding about Human Resource Management.
What is Human Resource Management? We can learn something from the literal meaning that Human Resource Management is one part in a company or an organization to deal with the problems between employees and employers or between colleagues. In short, Human Resource Management is a job dealing with people. However, HR Management is far more complicated and it is an all-inclusive job in the international business. Human Resource Management is the management of human resource. It is a function in organizations designed to maximize employee performance in service of an employer’s strategic objectives. Human Resource is primarily concerned with the management of people within organizations, focusing on policies and systems. Human Resource departments and units in organization typically undertake a number of activities, including employee benefit design, employee recruitment, training, performance appraisal and rewarding.
With the increase in competition, locally or globally, organization must become more adaptable, resilient, agile, and customer-focused to succeed. And within this change in environment, the HR professional has to evolve too become a strategic partner, an employee sponsor or advocate, and a change mentor within the organization. In order to succeed, HR diversifies in terms of identity and at the same time, HR has more and more challenges. On the one hand, facing the challenges brought by the global economic integration, with the development of information technology, the trend of the global economic integration is becoming more and more obvious and moving forward at a high speed. With the gradual formation of global economic integration, as an inevitable result of global economic integration, multinational companies will have to face different political systems, different cultural backgrounds and different language staff. How to deal with these differences, how to communicate with staff from different countries and how to establish a good
management system have become the real problem placed in front of Human Resource Managers. On the other hand, the quality of employees is improved day by day and the qualities of training, education, assessment, selection, appointment is increasingly important. The qualities of training, education, assessment, selection, appointment should matches the qualities of employees. At the other aspect, employees pay more attention to the realization of their own development inside the company. How to deal with the problem about the development of employees is an important thing that Human Resource Manager should think about. At the same time, it is possible that with the improve of the life quality, employees do not run after the reward and welfare any more, but seek for the meet of other need. At this time, as a Human Resource Manager, should know how to do with the need of employees and the service.
Although Human Resource Management has a lot of challenges under the economic globalization, it is a good job that we can choose. For me, after my graduation of university, if possible, I think that I may try to be a Human Resource Manager. What should I do if I would become a Human Resource Manager?
First of all, as a Human Resource Manager, the core of the human resource management is to manage gain-sharing. I will ensure that the people will be participating in the plan are influencing the performance measured by the gain-sharing formula a significant way by changes in their day-to-day behavior. I will be equal to everyone and I would never treat people by my favor.
Secondly, I will build a motivation system. I will encourage the healthy competition inside. High integrity and healthy attitude by team spirit is an important to a company or an organization. I will not afraid that someone may do better than me. On the contrary, I hope that more and more people want to surpass me.
Last but not least, I will choose potential employees for my company. When I choose potential employees, I will clear job requirements first. According to the specific of our own industry and the requirements of the development, I will make a detailed plan about what kind of employees that we need. Once the potential employee is selected by us, I will offer him a good way to development and try my best to make him stay here.
On conclusion, Human Resource Management is an important part in the international business. It requires people who do human resource management to do what should do correctly at the correct and pertinent time. Human Resource Management is not a easy thing. It is worthy everyone paying attention to it.
