摘要：A polyurethane foam prepared by the reaction of a polyisocyanate with apolysiloxane of formula (I) in claim 1, wherein the total number of hydroxyl groups in thepolysiloxane is substantially stoichiometrically equivalent to the total number ofisocyanate groups in the polyisocyanate. The incorporation of the polysiloxane in thepolymer matrix of the polyurethane foam provides improved thermal, oxidative and UVstability, durability and preferential burning characteristics suitable for a wide range ofapplications including the manufacture of seals for doors and windows in which the foamis encapsulated in polyethylene outer skin.
